Overview

Located at the relative center of the world, the Continent of Etera contains various ecological climates that have likewise created a variety of different cultures and peoples, many of which was grotesquely cut short by the tragedy that was the Verk Empire. Nowadays the Continent has seen a revival in certain areas as factions new and old are rising to claim what they can of the ancient land for themselves.

History

A land of disparate elements and a legacy of warfare, Etera as a landmass has had a long and storied history with much of it being lost to genocide and time. While much culture and comprehension has been lost to the eons, one thing that is imminently clear is that the Continent was once the nestling ground for one highly influential civilization in the past.

Very little is actually understood about who they were or what their plans for the future were. What is understood is that much of the fantastical technological marvels that dot Etera’s landmass, from the Towers of Magic, to the roots of Magitek buried just beneath the surface, can be attributed to these ancient precursors. It is these feats of engineering and expansion that have driven much of Etera’s growth and also much of its conflict.

Landmass

The Continent of Etera is roughly 1.4 million square miles, making it one of the smaller continents that exist on the planet of Chronus.
