Luroto
History
From the events of the war against the Verk Empire as well as truly unexplainable and bizarre catastrophes, many citizens of Etera live in fear of the next calamity that will befall them. Of these citizens some blame their own towns and heroes, saying that they are incapable of protecting the citizens of Etera and are more preoccupied with glory than anything else.
Soon after the Verk Empire was disbanded, refugees of long lost towns started to travel together with the intent to form a wholly new town separate from others. Comprising a mere few hundred citizens, Luroto is a very small town that has only started to be built in the midwestern regions of Etera. The town is built on grasslands though there are forests and hillsides near the location, creating a relatively prosperous place of natural resources. With a focus on the freedom of its citizens and the welcoming of those that have not wronged them in the past, the town has started to gain positive notoriety throughout the continent.
The governing structure of Luroto is very simplistic in nature, only laying groundwork for the necessities for rule. Because the citizens do not agree with the archaic nature of a single ruler, they have divided the town’s structure into focused districts of people that each have an elected leader to speak for them. These representatives together form the Luroto Commune, and frequently deliberate on plans for the town instead of prioritizing their own desires.
Government
Agricultural Sect
The Agricultural Sect of the town is composed of farmers, woodcutters, and miners that have a strong passion for delivering foodstuffs to the people. They actively work in part with the Development Sect towards building structures to house and process the foodstuffs, as well as the Economic Sect to sell excess foodstuffs to other neighboring towns. In addition they also provide many of the raw materials to the Development Sect for the construction of buildings.
Development Sect
The Development Sect of the town is composed of mostly builders, those there are a few architects that help oversee the structural planning of buildings. The people of the Development Sect work towards creating buildings that will benefit the people, whether it be shops, places of worship, residential buildings, barracks, or storehouses. They actively work with every Sect, as all of them require buildings in some form or another.
Economic Sect
The Economic Sect of the town is composed of many merchants that have endured the harsh financial impacts of the war. Their focus is on managing the books for the town, as well as economic relations with other neighboring towns. They work alongside the Agricultural Sect the most, but are responsible for managing payments to all of the Sect workers.
Leadership Sect
The Leadership Sect focuses on the logistics and legality of the town, and holds many philosophers and ex-Verk Empire magistrates in its ranks. The people of the Leadership Sect focus on gathering the opinions and ideas of the common folk and will create laws based on what is generally considered agreed upon by the town. Much like the Economic Sect they work closely with all of the Sects, usually having people stationed at specific locations for the community to voice concerns at.
Militia Sect
Many people who have held a sword or been a part of the Rebel or Verk Empire’s militaries work in the Militia Sect. These people focus on maintaining the integrity and protection of the town, ensuring that every citizen upholds its laws. Additionally on some occasions the Militia Sect will be sent out for monster extermination missions. These people work the closest with the Agricultural and Economic Sects, ensuring the safety of the civilians when they are outside of Luroto.
Notable People
The government of Luroto has a leader for each Sect, overseeing the operations of the Sect and working alongside the other Sect leaders to improve the welfare of Luroto.
