Bartos Brooks
History
Bartos Brooks is a member of Luroto's Development Sect and the son of its leader Daelin Brooks. He fought for the Verk Empire as a foot soldier against the Rebellion alongside his brother Harren and nearly grew to some prominence, until the Empire began to deploy scorched earth tactics. His brother was turned into a zombie and he was left badly injured and stranded until he was taken prisoner by Rebel forces and later left released. The incident left him broken and resolute to never lift a sword again.
Instead, he has joined his father's smithy to create tools and devices for the people of Luroto. While he is not particularly skilled at using a forge, he is willing to do anything to get away from conflict.
Personality
Bartos tends to avoid unnecessary social interaction when possible, and when he does interact with others he is often over apologetic and submissive; as to avoid conflict. His trauma greatly damages his ability to handle the world around him, and he often is subject to panic attacks when induced with enough stress.
Bartos is greatly skilled with a sword, however he will never wield one again so long as he is addled by guilt and regret by his part in the war and not being able to have saved his brother.
