Upon becoming the Empress of the Tidal Empire, Terra Azureleaf would also rise to become a goddess on the Plane of Gold, a land where even its people are made from the wondrous and oft-desired material. Unlike her mother, who sought to use both the plane and her Empire to further her own goals, Terra will seek to use her luck to lead both her people and the plane into a new age of prosperity and fortune.

History

Before Terra became the goddess of the Plane of Gold, that role belonged to her mother, Ronda Azureleaf, infamous former demon lord and now deity of all of Chronus. One of Ronda's many ambitious goals was creating a powerful spellzone that would cloak Tidal in a perpetual storm, protecting it from ships and fisherman. As part of her plans, Ronda would ascend to become the goddess of the Plane of Gold, though her role in the plane would be undone by her recent ascension as a deity of Chronus.

Without their former goddess, the people of the Plane of Gold were looking for a new leader. Terra, much like she inherited the throne, would soon inherit the role, though she was quite different from her mother, who welcomed the sacrifice of her followers to help her acquire wealth. Terra, meanwhile, did not value such violent displays of worship, and instead preferred to teach her people how to gamble, risking their wealth against each other in a nonviolent and risky game.

As always, Terra was surrounded by an aura of luck that seemed to guide her towards her fated role as the new deity of the Plane of Gold. The more time she spent there, her skin itself seemed to turn to gold, earning her the title of the Golden Gambit.

Home

While Terra's followers can be found in gambling dens and places of business throughout the world in small clusters, the majority of her followers reside in Tidal, some embracing the teachings of both her mother and now her daughter. Her followers also reside in the Plane of Gold, consisting of Earth Elementals who carry gold within their bodies the same was most people carry blood.

Appearance

Much like her mother, Terra is a mixture of Adaros and Merfolk that causes her to stand out among her people. Due to her being the child of a demon lord, Terra has sharp teeth and other shark-like creatures, which has often lead to her being called the "Card Shark." Due to her time on the plane of gold, Terra's skin has gone from a dark shade of gray to a gold that shines even in the darkness.

Followers

Terra's followers are small in number, but fervent in their desire to spread their love of gambling and fortune. They can be found in gambling dens across the world, always ready for a quick card game or bet. Many business-minded individuals who enjoy taking risks also become followers of the Golden Gambit.
