Bio

Richard had humble beginnings living on a farm, and was convinced to join the military at a young age. Serving in a few campaigns, he left the military with some close friends he had made, who then wanted to put their skills to use adventuring. Decades of crashing dungeons, and exploring the world, he was fortunate to never have lost any of his friends during their adventures.

Post adventuring life, Richard has been a consultant for the Adventurers guild, a mentor to aspiring adventurers, and hired to oversee military training programs. The Adventurers guild seeing lower attendance, and the rising threat of the Ghostlands, Richard had been sought out and hired to act as the temporary commissary of the Adventurers Guild.

Duties and Direction with the Adventurers Guild

Richard has always prided himself with the fact that his adventuring career never suffered any losses within his party, and he attributes that to the close trusting relationship all the members had with one another, and their coolheaded approach to situations, rather than emotional ones. Richard above all else wants to ensure the safety of those who join the Adventurers Guild, and will not hesitate to swiftly remove people he sees as unfit.

Richard does his best to speak to all the members of the guild that he comes into contact with in hopes of building a more personal relationship with them, and to better manage pairing people up with others, always having an open door policy for those who wish to speak with him. Having adventurers build close relationships with one another not only increases the chance of survival, but also the chance of success. For those willing to hear it, he gladly passes down any wisdom he has, and will indulge people in personal stories of his past.

Increasing and maintaining a good reputation for the guild is one of his focuses, and those he feels have done an adequate job representing the guild he gives a personalized wayfinder, that also has the guilds symbol on it, as a means for a guild member to prove to others that they are in fact a part of the Adventurer's Guild.
